On occasion, Blue likes to lie down on the window sill to welcome the morning. On this particular day, he was especially content and purring up a storm, soooo, I recorded him. He looks so peaceful, and that purring is so loud. I recommend repeating the video just to continue listening to him purr.
This is the Swatch with Me! playlist, which currently has 11 videos in it; however, the last video has not aired yet (available to the public on June 20, 2021). Once again, I'm sharing the playlist because I'm very busy with work right now, and posting the playlist here is less time-consuming for me.
My night-time hours are usually spent editing videos and/or crafting (or doing these Swatch with Me! videos), and my daytime hours are spent working. Once the course ends, I'll have more time to add videos here in Blogger, as well as craft and video-edit.
Hey! How's it going? I'm sharing my playlist, called "Alcohol-Ink Art Fun" because I'm a tad busy with work, and adding the playlist here is less time-consuming than adding each alcohol-ink project video here. Currently, there are four visible videos in the playlist, and the fifth one will air at 9:15 am (central time) Sunday, July 4th. That 5th one is currently my favorite. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what it is, right now, because it's technically not on my channel yet. You'll just have to wait and see.
Swatch with Me! In non-fast-forwarded time, I swatched 36 Koh-I-Noor Polycolor Coloured Pencils on, of all kinds of paper, watercolor paper. I should have used card stock paper instead, but, still, the effect of colored pencil on heavyweight watercolor paper was still pretty cool!
I'm a bit behind posting my published videos on my blog, which means you'll be seeing quite a few video-blog posts in my effort to catch up here. I've been extremely busy with work, moreso than any other semester to date. Also, during this spring semester, my old computer finally died, and I had to buy a new one. That period without a PC was a tad stressful because I had to use my iPad Pro to do my "school" work in Blackboard (the college's online portal), and doing Bb work on an iPad is quite a challenge. I do have an old (nearly as old as the old PC) laptop, but I was limited in what I could do on it.
This little ditty is dedicated to all my students who are determined to succeed. In this video, I demonstrate how to make circles for answer choices in Word documents. I had a student who needed help with an extra credit worksheet that required drawing circles around the answer choices. This was the perfect opportunity for me to show the student and my viewers how to do just that.
At the time that I did this video, I was in the alcohol-ink-art phase of my mixed-media life. I was merely dabbling in this unique world of alcohol inks, and I had quite a bit of fun experimenting with all the colors and techniques. In this video, I used TerraSlate paper, which is a very thin plastic. I've never used Yupo paper before, so I cannot compare TerraSlate to Yupo. Perhaps, I should buy some Yupo paper and see if it's any different. Hmm . . . I'll give that some thought.
In the next few weeks, you'll see other craftivities related to using alcohol inks and alcohol ink markers. I have since stocked up on different alcohol inks (from both Jacquard and Tim Holtz), but I haven't had any decent time to explore this very cool artistic scene. Once I do have the time, I will create more alcohol-ink fun!
Swatch with Me! In this SwM video, I'm swatching the Koh-I-Noor watercolor pencils. I encourage you to grab your swatching supplies and swatch along with me. If all you want to do is watch, you're welcome to do that, too.
