Swatch with Me! Ooly Chroma Blends Mechanical Watercolor Pencils

I had no idea watercolor pencils could be mechanical, but that's what I found on Amazon one night while I was perusing the watercolor pencils products. In this Swatch with Me! video, I make a swatch card for Ooly Chroma Blends Mechanical Watercolor Pencils. I love gadgets, so I knew I had to give these a try. They are not student or artist grade. They are likely meant for kids (and adults who can't keep their mitts off of gadgets, like me. lol).

Arteza Painting Panels

In this short-ish video, Arteza Painting Panels, I'm showing how to put together an acrylic painting panel. The original idea for the video was to try out a new Canon camcorder I had recently bought, but that camcorder displays a fish-eye look, which is kind of weird for crafting. The Canon camcorder is waterproof and is touted to perform well under water, which is not where I do my crafting. I know, bummer, right?

When I realized the odd effect the camcorder was showing in my videos, I had to stop using it. Since then, I've bought a better camcorder (a Sony FDR AX 43) that I'm now using.

Also, in this video, I talk about a variety of items I had bought at that time (August 2020), and in the description, you'll find links to those items. Naturally, I bought them from Amazon.

Enjoy the show! Thanks for reading; thanks for watching!

Swatch with Me! Mont Marte Woodless Watercolour Pencils

Swatch with Me! is a new series I've started on my channel. I have zillions of coloring media, and I need swatch cards for them, so I thought this would be a good way to make swatch cards and video-record them in the process.

This first one is for the Mont Marte Woodless Watercolor Pencils. This is a relatively inexpensive set of woodless watercolor pencils. I spent $15.99 on the set of 24 pencils.

Watch me swatch, or swatch with me! Part of this idea is to help you swatch, too. I've been trying to remember to tell my viewers to grab something to swatch. The beauty of it is that even if you don't have anything, coloring-media-wise, you can swatch plain old graphite pencils or ink pens you might have lying around the house.

The Mont Marte set is the first swatching in this series. So far, I've done eight swatching videos that I'll be uploading between my crafting videos.

Crinkly-Cut Paper

Instead of tearing scrapbook paper into smaller pieces, I used a variety of design-cut scissors, which resulted in a lot of pieces that had differently cut edges to them. Eventually, I'll use those pieces to glue into the mini glue-book or another glue book I've been working on.

Can You Hack It? Faux Leather Paper, Part 1

Part 1 of Faux Leather Paper shows how I turn ordinary scrapbook paper into faux leather. After making a few sheets of faux leather paper, I decided to use them as journal covers. Part 2 will show the decorating of the inside of those journal covers. Part 3 will comprise creating the pages for one of the journal covers, and Part 4 will show how to add the pages to the journal cover. Each Part is separated by other crafting projects I've been working on because I discovered there was more to this than simply turning ordinary paper into faux leather paper. At this time, this project has four parts, but I might make a fifth part that shows filling at least one of the pages in one of the journals.

Thanks for reading and watching!

Mini Glue-Book

I took a mini flip-book and turned it into a mini glue-book.
